Azora Headquarters

The transformation of Azora's current headquarters is a clear testimony to our commitment to the generation of sustainable projects and developments.

 

The work undertaken to adapt the spaces had energy efficiency minimizing the climate footprint of the asset in mind, achieving a LEED Gold rating.

Supporting Honduran youth development

Azora's collaboration with ACOES, an NGO focused on supporting youth development in Honduras, has been going strong for years.

 

Azora contributed significantly to the development of the Casa del Estudiante Virgen de Suyapa, as well as the purchase of a bus to ease transportation. In addition, Azora maintains a close and continuous relationship, with trainee positions for young Hondurans working with the association, and Azora staff regularly travel to Honduras to learn about and contribute to the project.

Enabling access to housing through Techô

To transform lives, Techô Hogar Socimi, believes in the power of a home to provide stability and well-being for homeless individuals. Housing fosters social integration and independence.

 

Through collaborations with social organizations and institutional investors like Azora, Techô currently houses 401 beneficiaries in 120 locations, creating a brighter future for those in need.

Evaluating sustainability, it assesses asset impact in 5 areas: sustainable siting, water efficiency, energy use, material and resource conservation, and indoor environmental quality.

BREEAM Certificate

Through a holistic methodology, it evaluates the processes that influence sustainability strategy throughout the lifecycle of the asset.

TCFD

The Azora Group relies on the international framework Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), identifying its degree of alignment with its established recommendations.

NET ZERO

The Azora Group has initiated a portfolio assessment to identify areas for improvement and develop an action plan with the aim of achieving long-term Net Zero.

Energy efficiency

In line with European legislation on energy labeling of real estate, the Azora Group works to keep improving the rating of its assets.

Techô

Grupo Azora collaborates with Techô Hogar Socimi, with the mission of developing a profitable real estate investment vehicle that makes a definitive contribution to eradicating homelessness.

ACOES

Azora had partnered with ACOES, an NGO in Honduras, to support education and development in disadvantaged areas since 2016.

The Azora Group adheres to the Principles for Responsible Investment defined by the United Nations (UNPRI), which are currently included in its Sustainability Policy.

GRESB

Nestar Residencial, SII, S.A. and Azora European Hotel & Lodging, F.C.R. participate in the GRESB index (comparing ESG performance among companies in the sector).

SFDR

The Azora Group complies with the EU's Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), in the investment vehicles subject to this regulation, which involves disclosing sustainability-related information in the financial services sector.
